Actor Refutes Anti-Vaxxer Views Following Narrating Contentious Covid Feature

The acclaimed actor has given his voice to a new documentary that challenges the legitimacy of vaccinations and commends former health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Feature's Provocative Basis

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a well-known publication co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the global outbreak for allegations that the virus was caused by a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

Her collaborator, a producer, has previously authored books with far-right radio host a known commentator. The producer wrote online hailing Neeson's role in the documentary.

A Strong Rebuttal

The team of Liam Neeson have issued a response firmly refuting implications that he holds anti-immunization views.

"Everyone can acknowledge that corruption may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be equated to rejection of vaccines," the statement explains. "He has never been, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His considerable work with the global charity reinforces his long-held support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It added that the performer did not shape the film's messaging and that concerns about its claims are best addressed to the creators.

Central Assertions Featured in the Documentary

As presented, the voiceover spoken by Neeson includes several provocative statements:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have demanded "complete compliance" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "research has become deeply politicized."
  • Kennedy is interviewed saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The film takes aim at pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • Regarding pandemic shots, it references a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Controversy and Ongoing Debates

It includes a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was later the topic of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

In recent weeks, Kennedy called on the Centers for Disease Control to alter its long-held position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, despite a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation stating no evidence has been found.

A Past Position of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the film's narrative, Neeson has formerly expressed firm endorsement for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," stating that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" ends with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This isn't the finish of our narrative. It is the start of a new chapter."
