Barcelona to Host Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
