Outrage as Popular South African DJ Shot Dead in the Heart of Johannesburg.
A prominent South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the metropolis of Johannesburg, triggering widespread grief across a country grappling with persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, was attacked in the city centre on the afternoon of Tuesday.
Authorities reported the forty-year-old entertainer was accosted by three suspects, one of whom opened fire on him before escaping on foot.
The reason behind the shooting remains unclear and no one has been arrested are in custody, as per the official statement.

Authorities revealed that Stock was ambushed as he was departing from a building in the vicinity of the city center landmark.

"Authorities believe the deceased was confronted by three unknown suspects after he parked his car, and they began shooting at him before running from the location on foot," a police statement confirmed.
Security camera video showed a suspect with dreadlocks and dressed in what appeared to be a guard's attire opening fire on Stock before fleeing.
The DJ attempted to flee after he was hit but collapsed a short distance away.
Police added that Stock had an unused firearm and no items were stolen during the attack.
